The short version
- You can use Lazy as for free during early access, for personal or work projects.
- It's early software. It might break. Keep backups of anything important.
- Your notes and screenshots are yours.
- AI services (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, GitHub), Apple's speech service and anything else you use through it have their own terms.
1. Using Lazy as
By downloading or using Lazy as (the "app") you agree to these terms. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the app on computers you own or control. The licence agreement sets out exactly what a licence covers and is part of these terms. Please don't resell or redistribute the app, share licence keys, get around its licence checks, or reverse engineer it to build a competing product. Don't use it, or this website, to break the law, record people without their consent, infringe anyone's rights, commit fraud, send spam, or probe or attack our systems.
2. Free, Pro and paying
Lazy as is free during early access, and features may change, appear or disappear. When paid plans start, the free plan stays (100 notes a month, every capture feature), new installs get 14 days of Pro with no card, and Pro, Founder Lifetime and Team plans are sold on the pricing page.
Who sells it. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Lazy as is made by The Crew MENA Art Production L.L.C (Dubai commercial licence 1405071), Office 804, Saeed Mohammed Saeed Al Kindi Building, Naif, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Licences. A personal licence (Pro or Founder Lifetime) is for one person, active on up to 3 computers at once. A Team licence covers the seats bought, 2 computers per seat. Licences are activated online and check in about once a week (they work 30 days offline); you can move one to a new computer at your licence. Founder Lifetime covers every version of Lazy as for the life of the product. The full rules are in the licence agreement, which is part of these terms. Please don't publish or share keys: a shared key may be switched off.
Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel, which you can do any time at your licence or from the link in your receipt; Pro stays on until the end of the period you paid for. If a price changes, we'll email you at least 30 days before you're charged the new price. Refunds: within 30 days, for any reason, and a refunded licence is switched off (see refunds).
3. Your content
Screenshots, transcripts, notes and prompts you create are yours. They're stored on your computer. You're responsible for what you capture, for having the right to capture it (for example, confidential client work or other people's content), and for what you share with third-party services.
4. Third-party services
Lazy as can use Apple's speech recognition (on a Mac), a speech model downloaded from Hugging Face (on Windows and Linux) and, if you choose, an AI service on your own account: Claude (Anthropic) through Claude Code or an API key you provide, ChatGPT (OpenAI) through Codex, Gemini (Google) through Antigravity CLI, or GitHub Copilot through Copilot CLI. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and policies, and any usage costs or limits are between you and them. Lazy as is not made by, endorsed by or affiliated with Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, GitHub, Microsoft or Apple. Their product names are trademarks of their owners.
5. No warranty
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of transcriptions or prompts, and non-infringement. Check what an AI agent does with your feedback before shipping it. We certainly would.
6. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost data, profits or time, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit.
7. Ending things
You can stop using the app any time by deleting it (see how to uninstall). We may end early access, or stop offering the free version, at any time. Paid licences follow the licence agreement, including what happens to Founder Lifetime if we ever stop making Lazy as.
8. Changes
We may update these terms; the date at the top tells you when. If you pay for Lazy as, we'll email you about important changes at least 30 days before they apply to you, and if you don't agree you can cancel and get a refund for the time you haven't used.
Consumers and the law
If you're a consumer, you keep every right the law of your country gives you; nothing in these terms takes those away. These terms are governed by the laws of the Emirate of Dubai and the federal laws of the United Arab Emirates, and the courts of Dubai decide disputes, except where your local consumer law says otherwise.
